Properly Probate Property
Trust Administration, or probate, is the court process by which ownership of your property is transferred to your heirs and beneficiaries after death. It can be difficult to make sense of the court rules and the statutes that control how this process works. We will help you navigate every part of the process to make it as easy and stress-free as possible.
Our Trust Administration Process
1) Initial Meeting
In the initial meeting, we will work with you to identify and locate assets, determine if there is a valid will, identify heirs and beneficiaries, and determine what debts or creditors there are to be paid.
2) Probate Document Creation and Filing
We take the information you have provided about family, assets, and creditors to draft a petition to open the probate. Once the probate is open we provide notice to the heirs, creditors and the public as required by law.
3) Inventory Assets
We assist you in creating an inventory all the assets which is filed with the court and viewable by the general public. We help you evaluate any claims filed by creditors, and make plans to pay creditors and make distributions to heirs and beneficiaries.
4) Pay Creditors and Beneficiaries
We administer all creditor claims, ensure all required tax returns are filed, and distribute assets to heirs and beneficiaries.
5) Final Account and Close Estate
Lastly, we file the final account and close the estate.
